Why cant people search for simple things on thier own September 28, 2005

Being a techie, its natural that people ask me a lot of computer questions, i like to answer some but get freaked out at others. Its ok to ask something that requires some research for example, from where can i download free mp3’s? Is there any way to hack hotmail? I want to create a photo gallery at my website what script should i use? But some people ask from where should i download a particular program? or how do i change a particular setting in my messenger? I wonder what kind of fool they are that they cant go through the menu’s of the program to see where are particular option might be or even worse they wait for me to reply from where i can download a particular software, havnt they heard of a thing called a search engine. Techie’s like us, and even many normal people we have a panel on our browser’s toolbar for search. For me even my homepage points to google.com, so it is obvious that i use google more than anything else. Plus Firefox has a very useful tool which lets you search any particular search engine right from the toolbar, which you can customize.
