This is the first timing I’m hearing/seeing this, reportedly some hail fell in Karachi last Sunday. It took me some time to believe it although the friend telling me about it never lied to me and had photographical evidence. I might put these photographs on if I find some time.

Remember me talking about weather going crazy, here we have more examples. Even here in UAE, people haven’t seen this kind of weather for long.
159 days till i get out of the cage of IB, i.e. my last IB exam. I am already beginning to plan what I want to do. Firstly I want to go trekking, there are so many wonderful places out there like Nanga Parbat, Deosai, Rakaposhi and Siri paye. Trekking previous June was one of the best experiences of my life. This time I also want to do something more thrilling as well like rock climbing, repelling or rafting.
Then I am thinking of doing an internship somewhere as I have never had any sort of real work experience. I might take up some open source coding project, some entrepreneurial idea or both. And of course I want to meet everyone I know in Pakistan before I go on to university.
But before that there is the Winter break in a week, I wont be going to Pakistan. Instead I’ll have to work on my extended essay, write a world lit essay, do all the economics portfolios, get physics lab reports, do my other math coursework, not to forget the business project, get in position to be able to speak enough French to get a decent grade in the oral, send all my documents to unis, I must be missing something on the list.
The next five months dont look very good!
I totally hate Etisalat, the telecom monopoly over here in UAE, they have blocked VOIP and sites like orkut and flickr. I guess some of the blocks have a good reason behind them but many are totally useless. Whats with blocking a perfectly cool picture sharing service. With hi5 blocked aswell im getting worried about the flickr substitute zooomr i am using now. Its unfair how they are making so much money by blocking calls over the internet so that everybody has to use there service to make overseas calls. With Etisalat also controlling PTCL, Pakistanis dont look very happy with it either.

Many people want to look at a picture of this, I could not find any myself on the Internet so I put one on it myself. I know this picture seems crap but it is the best I could capture with my phone camera. The fountain is somewhat visible from my rooftop but I wanted to give it a closer look ever since it began operating, got the chance yesterday. The place I took this snap from was totally dark and seaview was unusually quiet for a Saturday. I wonder how this looks in the morning.
The worlds second highest did not seem better to me than what I saw at Sharjah 2-3 weeks back, this snap is taken from my hotel room. Anyway this one isnt 1200 Km away from Karachi, is it? I guess people can get a better view of this from somewhere closer to it, possibly on boats like ones at the Sharjah Cornish before any such facility is available, using binoculars may be a good idea.
